NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST

NEET (UG) – 2021 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, 12 September 2021 in Pen and Paper mode in 13 languages, as a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India, as per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and relevant Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997, as amended from time to time.

भारत सरकार के शिक्षा मंत्रालय से संचालित बोर्ड ऑफ़ प्रैक्टिकल ट्रेनिंग (बीओपीटी ) पूर्वी क्षेत्र एवं झारखण्ड राय यूनिवर्सिटी, रांची के सहयोग से आयोजित वर्चुअल जॉब फेयर(अप्रेंटिशिप ट्रेनिंग) का प्रारंभ 9 अगस्त से किया गया। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर डायरेक्टर पर्सनल, सीसीएल पी.वी.ए.आर. मल्लिकार्जुन राव, मुख्य वक्ता डायरेक्टर बीओपीटी (पूर्वी क्षेत्र ) एस. एम. एजाज अहमद उपस्थित थे। उद्घाटन सत्र का प्रारंभ दीप प्रज्वलन और सरस्वती वंदना के साथ किया गया। कार्यक्रम में स्वागत भाषण करते हुए झारखण्ड राय यूनिवर्सिटी, रांची की कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) सविता सेंगर ने कहा ” बीओपीटी के सहयोग से पाँचवी बार जॉब फेयर का आयोजन यूनिवर्सिटी कैंपस में किया जा रहा है। कोविड 19 महामारी और सरकार के निर्देशों को देखते हुए यूनिवर्सिटी द्वारा पहली बार इसका आयोजन वर्चुअल किया जा रहा है।

डॉ. सेंगर ने ज्ञान आधारित समाज का जिक्र करते हुए कहा की “आज नॉलेज बेस्ट सोसायटी का दौर है। समाज तेजी से बदल रहा है। हमें अपने कार्यों के प्रति खुद जिम्मेदार बनेबनने की जरुरत है। किसी भी बात पर सरकार या दूसरों को दोष देने की आदत सफलता में सबसे बड़ी बाधक साबित होती है। उन्होंने कौशल और जीवन विकास के लिए लाइफ स्किल्स की जरुरत पर बल देते हुए कहा की ‘लाइफ स्किल्स केवल जीवन में दक्षता प्राप्त करने का नाम नहीं है बल्कि सही मायनों में ह्यूमन बिंग बन कर समाज में अनुशासन के साथ जीवन निर्वाहन की कला है। नई शिक्षा नीति 2020 की चर्चा करते हुए उन्होंने बताया की ‘ यह नीति स्टूडेंट सेंट्रिक अप्रोच और नॉलेज, ऐटिटयूड और स्किल्स को शिक्षा से जोड़ने वाला है।

डॉ. सेंगर ने झारखण्ड राय यूनिवर्सिटी द्वारा आउट कम बेस्ड एजुकेशन की भी चर्चा की जो इनसाइड क्लास रूम मेजरिंग, लर्निंग, फैकल्टी परफॉर्मेंस पर आधारित है। उन्होंने अपनी जानकारी में बताया की यूनिवर्सिटी जल्द ही दो स्किल्ड बेस्ड कोर्स भी प्रारम्भ करने वाली है।

डायरेक्टर बीओपीटी (पूर्वी क्षेत्र) एस एम् एजाज अहमद ने अपने सम्बोधन के दौरान कहा की ” कोरोना महामारी के कारण उतपन्न परिस्थितियों से कई लोगों ने अपना रोजगार खोया है। झारखण्ड राय यूनिवर्सिटी के साथ यह पांचवा वर्ष है जब अप्रेंटिशिप ट्रेनिंग के लिए रोजगार मेले का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

अप्रेंटिशिप ट्रेनिंग को रोजगार मेला का नाम देने पर अपना विचार देते हुए उन्होंने बताया की 1 वर्ष का यह प्रशिक्षण युवाओं को औद्योगिक क्षेत्र में उनकी दक्षता के अनुसार तैयार करता है। अप्रेंटिशिप एक्ट 1961 का हवाला देते हुए उन्होंने बताया की आज भी 1200 से ज्यादा कंपनियां इसे लेकर सक्रिय नहीं है। भारत के युवाओं को इस आपदा की घडी में ज्यादा से जयदा रोजगार की जरुरत है और इसमें अप्रेंटिशिप महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकता है। उन्होंने अप्रेंटिशिप का महत्व बताते हुए कहा की विदेशों में यह एक प्रतिष्ठित कार्य की तरह है। यह छात्रों के लिए बहुत लाभदायक भी है। उन्होंने शैक्षणिक संस्थानों से एक दिन का अप्रेंटिसशीप डे मानाने का भी अनुरोध करते हुए कहा की इस प्रकार के कार्यों को सक्रियता से करने वाले संस्थानों को आने वाले समय में पुरस्कृत भी किया जायेगा। “

मुख्य अतिथि डायरेक्टर पर्सनल सीसीएल पीवीएआर राव ने अपने सम्बोधन के दौरान कहा की “कोल् इंडिया और उसकी 8 अनुसांगिक इकाइयां अप्रेंटिशिप को महत्वपूर्ण मानते हुए प्रतिवर्ष 20 हजार से ज्यादा प्रशिक्क्षु लिया करते है। शिक्षा प्राप्त करने का मूल उद्देश्य केवल सरकारी नौकरी प्राप्त करना नहीं होता बल्कि इसके अलावा स्टार्टअप्स, खुद का बिजनेस और कौशल से जुड़े हजारों कार्य है जिन्हें अपनाकर जीवन को बेहतर बनाया जा सकता है। उन्होंने शैक्षणिक संस्थानों से क्षेत्र और भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों के अनुसार स्किल बेस्ड कोर्सेज प्रारंभ करने की सलाह देते हुए कहा की ” भारत में हर राज्य में अलग अलग संभावना है इसका ध्यान रखते हुए कौशल से जुड़े पाठ्यक्रम चलाये। पीवीएआर राव ने ड्रीम, प्लानिंग और एग्जीक्यूसन ( DPE ) की चर्चा करते हुए बताया की यह तभी सफल हो सकते है जब इनके साथ लगन और अथक परिश्रम भी किया जाय। उन्होंने 9 अगस्त के अवसर पर सभी प्रतिभागियों को विश्व आदिवासी दिवस की शुभकामना देते हुए जॉब फेयर में शामिल युवाओं के उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना किया।

उद्घाटन सत्र के समापन अवसर पर धन्यवाद ज्ञापन करते हुए झारखण्ड राय यूनिवर्सिटी के रजिस्ट्रार प्रो. (डॉ.) पियूष रंजन ने अगले पांच दिनों तक चलने वाले स्टूडेंट- इंडस्ट्री डिस्कशन के लिए सभी प्रतिभाओं को अपनी शुभकामना देते हुए कहा की” ये पांच दिन स्किल और कम्युनिकेशन को प्रमाणित करने का अवसर है। प्रत्येक वर्ष बीओपीटी के सहयोग से मेले का आयोजन होता रहा है जिसमें सीसीएल की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रहती है। इस वर्ष भी 2000 से ज्यादा रजिस्ट्रेशन हुए है जो नैड में भी पजीकृत है।रोजगार मेला 9 से 13 अगस्त 2021 तक आयोजित किया जायेगा। इस वर्ष इसमें प्रतिष्ठित 24 कंपनियां शामिल हो रही है जिनके पास 777 रिक्तियॉं है।

HOW TO APPLY FOR WEST BENGAL STUDENT CREDIT CARD SCHEME – EASY STEPS

ELIGIBLITY TO AVAIL WEST BENGAL STUDENT CREDIT CARD SCHEME?

All those students who have been living in West Bengal for the last 10 years can take benefit from this scheme – WEST BENGAL STUDENT CREDIT CARD SCHEME. Under this scheme, loans can be availed for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral studies in India or abroad.

Under this Scheme the aspiring students may upon fulfilling the terms and conditions detailed herein, obtain maximum loan of Rs. 10.00 lakhs at the rate of 4% simple interest from State Cooperative Banks and its affiliated Central Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks and Public Sector/ Private Sector Banks operating in the State of West Bengal.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR WEST BENGAL STUDENT CREDIT CARD SCHEME?

The student seeking loan under the scheme should be an Indian national and resident of West Bengal for the last 10 years.

The interested students should not be aged more than 40 (forty) years at the time of applying for loan.

The student applied for the credit card will link preferably their AADHAR Card or the Class X registration number with the concerned portal while applying to the Higher Education Department through their respective Institution.

The Higher Education Department will forward the applications after due examination to the Bank for sanction and issuance of Credit Card.

The concerned Bank will sanction the applications after due examination and issue the credit card in physical form based on the recommendation given by the Department and upon complying necessary formalities by the student/ guardian/ parent as required under RBI guidelines.

There shall be a Nodal officer for maintaining the web-based portal at the Department, Institution and the Bank level who shall have permission to access the student’s dashboard availing loan under this scheme.

The student concerned needs to upload his progress report card/ statement on completion of each semester/year examinations.

IS THE LOAN FOR STUDY IN INDIA ONLY?

West Bengal Government has launched the West Bengal student credit card scheme on 30th June 2021. This scheme has been launched in order to provide loans to students for their education. The maximum limit of this loan is Rs 10 lakh. This loan can use for pursuing studies in India and abroad.

DETAILS OF WEST BENGAL STUDENT CREDIT CARD SCHEME

(a) Maximum amount of loan available under the Scheme is Rs. 10.00 lakhs at 4% simple rate of interest per annum, after interest subvention.

(b) For the entire amount of loan sanctioned up to Rs.10.00 Lakh, rate of interest to be charged at prevalent 3-year MCLR of State Bank of India Plus 1%. The Rate of Interest so fixed on the date of sanction will remain fixed and calculated at simple rate for the entire duration of the loan.

(d) The bank concerned shall upload the details of the loan to the Department’s portal immediately after disbursement of the loan and such detail shall be updated by the Bank from time to time.

(e) The loan application should be submitted by the student and the parent/ legal guardian as co-borrower.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF STUDENT CREDIT CARD SCHEME?

The Student Credit Card Scheme outlined herein aims at providing financial support/assistance by the State Government at a nominal interest rate (with suitable guarantees to the bank) to the students residing in West Bengal for at least 10 years and pursuing education from class 10 onwards, or studying in various coaching institutes for appearing in different competitive examinations like Engineering/ Medical/ Law, IAS, IPS, WBCS, SSC etc., UPSC, PSC, SSC etc., and pursuing Undergraduate, Postgraduate courses including professional degree, Diploma courses and research at doctoral/ post-doctoral level or other similar courses in schools, Madrasahs, colleges, Universities and other institutes like IITs, IIMs, IIESTs ISIs, NLUs, AIIMSs, NITs, XLRI, BITS, SPA, NID, IISc, IIFTs, ICFAI Business School etc., within or outside the country, who are unable to pursue higher education due to financial constraints.

HOW CAN THE LOAN MONEY BE USED BY THE STUDENT?

Under this scheme the Credit Card may be used to avail loan to meet up the following expenses: –

(a) Course fees payable to the School/ Madrasah/ College/ University / Professional Institutes like IITs, IIMs, IIESTs, ISIs, NLUs, AIIMSs, NITs, XLRI, IISCs, BITS, SPA, NID, IIFTs, ICFAI Business School etc. various competitive coaching institutes meant for different competitive examinations like Engineering/Medical/Law, IAS, IPS, WBCS, SSC etc.

(b) Fees required for accommodation in School/ Madrasah/ College/ University/ Institution hostel or rent/license fees payable for living outside the hostel or fees required for living as a Paying Guest.

(c) Fees payable for caution deposit/ building fund / refundable deposit/ examination/ library/ laboratory fees to be supported by Institution’s bills/ receipts.

(d) Cost of purchasing of books/ Computer/ Lap-top/ Tablet/ equipment etc.

(e) Any other expense required to complete the course such as study tours, project works, thesis, etc.

(f) The student can incur expenditure up to 30% of the total loan sanctioned for non-institutional expenses for the whole course of study.

(g) Up to 20% of the total loan sanctioned can be used as living expenses for the duration of the course.

WHAT IS THE MODE OF LOAN DISBURSEMENT?

The amount of loan will be credited directly to the designated account of the Institution concerned in case of payment of course fees and other fees related to the Institution.
The amount of loan will be credited to the student’s Bank account for purchasing of Computer/ Laptop/ books/ stationeries/ living expenses etc.

WHAT IS THE REPAYMENT PROCESS?

(a) Repayment period shall be fifteen (15) years for any loan availed under this Credit Card including the Moratorium/ repayment holiday.

(b) The student or his parent/ legal guardian can repay the loan amount at any time before the stipulated period of repayment and in case of early repayment there shall be no penalty or processing cost charged by the Bank.

(d) The student or the co-borrower, as the case may be, shall be liable to repay the loan on time as 1st charge.

(e) The loan will be made available at the rate of 4% p.a. simple interest rate per annum to the students. Appropriate subvention of interest rate will be provided by the State Government for all the borrowers during the entire period of the Loan to restrict the actual rate of simple interest to 4% per annum, at borrower level.

भ्रूण हत्या और दहेज प्रथा आदर्श समाज के अभिशाप : बन्ना गुप्ता।

झारखंड राय विश्वविद्यालय, रांची में पूर्व गर्भाधान और प्रसव पूर्व निदान तकनीक PCPNDT अधिनियम पर आयोजित सेव गर्ल चाइल्ड वेबिनार का आयोजन किया गया। इस मौके पर राज्य के स्वास्थ्य,स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री बन्ना गुप्ता मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर एवं राज्य पर्यवेक्षण समिति के सदस्य प्रो. पारस नाथ मिश्रा वक्ता के तौर पर उपस्थित रहे।

वेबिनार का विधिवत उद्घाटन दीप प्रज्वलित और सरस्वती वंदना के जरिये किया गया।

झारखंड राय विश्वविद्यालय की कुलपति प्रो. डॉ. सविता सेंगर ने स्वागत भाषण करते हुए उपस्थित अतिथियों एवं वेबिनार में शामिल हुए राज्य के विभिन्न शैक्षणिक संस्थानों से शामिल विद्यार्थियों और शोध छात्रों का अभिवादन किया। डॉ. सेंगर ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि ” देश में कन्या भ्रूण हत्या और गिरते लिंगानुपात को रोकने के लिए भारत की संसद द्वारा पारित PCPNDT ऐक्ट एक संघीय अधिनियम है । यह अधिनियम प्रसव पूर्व लिंग निर्धारण पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का कार्य करता है।

हमारे संविधान की धारा 21 ‘हर व्यक्ति को आजादी से जीने का अधिकार देती है जब तक वह किसी कानून का उलंघन नहीं कर रहा हो।

राज्य पर्यवेक्षण समिति के सदस्य प्रो. पारस नाथ मिश्रा ने विषय और अधिनियम ने जुड़े तकनीकी बिंदुओं पर चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि “हेमंत सरकार के गठन होने के बाद राज्य पर्यवेक्षण आयोग पहला आयोग है जिसका गठन किया गया है। माननीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री इसके अध्यक्ष है। 21 सदस्यों वाली पर्यवेक्षण समिति बेहद तत्परता के साथ इस विषय पर जागरूकता अभियान चला रही है। पीसीपीएनडीटी अधिनियम के उलंघन पर तत्परता से कार्यवाई भी की जा रही है। आयोग ने अपना वेबसाइट भी बना रखा है जिसपर सभी आवश्यक जानकारी और संबंधित नंबर दिए गए है।

प्रो. मिश्रा ने वेबिनार में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि देश में इस अधिनियम के उलंघन से जुड़े लगभग 3 हजार मामले ही न्यायालय में है। इससे यह प्रतीत होता है कि देश में इस कानून के प्रति जागरूकता का अभाव है।

उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों और युवाओं से आह्वान किया कि सभी मिलकर इसे अपने संस्थाओं और कार्यस्थल पर एक अभियान की तरह चलाये और खुद के साथ दूसरों को भी जागरूक करने में सहयोग करें।।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि मंत्री बन्ना गुप्ता ने अपने संबोधन के दौरान पूर्व गर्भाधान और प्रसव पूर्व निदान तकनीक अधिनियम पर खुलकर बातें करते हुए कहा कि यह ऐसा विषय है जिसे न हटाया जा सकता है और न अछूता रखा जा सकता है । इस विषय की भावना,संदेश और प्रक्रिया से सभी को अवगत करना आवश्यक है। उन्होंने महिला और स्त्री शक्ति की चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि महिला आश्रयदात्री का नाम है। वह अबला नहीं सबला है।

स्वास्थ्य मंत्री श्री गुप्ता ने कहा कि भ्रूण हत्या और दहेज प्रथा ये दो समाज में प्रचलित कुप्रथाएं ही जिनका मैं व्यक्तिगत रूप से विरोध करता हूँ। पीसीपीएनडीटी अधिनियम का पालन राज्य में पालन कराने के लिए सरकार और विभाग तत्पर है। राज्य में 856 लिंग जांच केंद्र संचालित है । अधिनियम के तहत जागरूकता से जुड़े नियमों का पालन और सूचना संबंधी जानकारी का इन्हें पालन करना है। इसके अलावा डकाय आपरेशन भी चलाया जा रहा है जिसके तहत 1 लाख रुपये देने का प्रावधान है।

कार्यक्रम के समापन अवसर पर झारखंड राय विश्वविद्यालय के कुलसचिव प्रो(.डॉ.) पीयूष रंजन ने सभी आगंतुकों को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि इस अधिनियम के जारूकता के लिए एनएसएस द्वारा गोद लिए गए(अडॉप्टेड विलेज) 5 गांव में विश्विद्यालय द्वारा जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जाएगा।

झारखंड राय यूनिवर्सिटी में एचआर कॉन्क्लेव का आयोजन। कॉरपोरेट वर्ल्ड के दिग्गजों का लगा जमावड़ा

झारखंड राय यूनिवर्सिटी, रांची में आयोजित ऑनलाइन एक दिवसीय एच आर कॉन्क्लेव का शुभारंभ शनिवार को किया गया। कॉन्क्लेव का विषय’ ट्रांस्फोर्मिंग एच आर – अ टर्न अराउंड इन न्यू नार्मल ‘ रखा गया था।
कॉन्क्लेव का विधिवत उद्घाटन दीप प्रज्वलित करते हुए सरस्वती वंदना के साथ किया गया।
विषय प्रवेश कराते हुए झारखंड राय यूनिवर्सिटी की कुलपति प्रो.(डॉ.) सविता सेंगर ने अपने संबोधन के दौरान कॉन्क्लेव के ट्रांस्फोर्मिंग एचआर थीम को विस्तार के साथ परिभाषित किया।

उन्होंने कोविड के संक्रमण काल में बदलते मानव संसाधन और मानव प्रबंधन कार्यो की चर्चा की। शिक्षा,उद्योग जगत में देखे जा रहे बदलावों पर अपना विचार रखते हुए डॉ. सेंगर ने कहा कि ऑनलाइन माध्यमयों का उपयोग मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन से जुड़े कार्यों में अगर किसी ने किया है तो वह एचआर विभाग रहा है।

उन्होंने चुनौतियों और संभावनाओं पर भी अपने निजी विचारों से सभी को अवगत कराने का कार्य किया।

स्वागत भाषण करते हुए बीओपीटी ( पूर्वी क्षेत्र) के डायरेक्टर एजाज अहमद ने “स्किल डेवलपमेंट एंड ट्रेनिंग की चैलेंजेज एंड न्यू बिजनेस मॉडल पोस्ट कोविड19” विषय पर अपना विचार रखा। उन्होंने कहा कि मेरे यह विचार मेरे 20 साल के अनुभव का सार है । पिछले 100 वर्षों के दौरान कोरोना का यह संकट सबके किये पहला अनुभव रहा । इस आपदा ने श्रम और रोजगार के क्षेत्र को सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित किया । शिक्षा जगत अभी भी पूरी तरह पटरी पर नहीं लौट पाया है। लेकिन तकनीक के सहयोग से हमने इस संकट का चुनौती पूर्वक सामना किया है। ‘डूइंग बाई लर्निंग ‘ डिस्टेंस लर्निंग,ऑनलाइन लर्निंग ने संभावनाओं के नए द्वार खोले है । पब्लिक,प्राइवेट पार्टनरशिप ने इसे और मजबूती प्रदान करने का कार्य किया है।

कॉन्क्लेव में विशेष व्याख्यान देते हुए एचईसी के पूर्व सीएमडी अभिजीत घोष ने ‘चैलेंजेज एंड ऑपरट्यूनिटी इन मैनुफैक्चरिंग इंडस्ट्रीज इन पोस्ट कोविड 19 ‘ पर अपनी बातें रखी ।उन्होंने बताया कि मैनुफैक्चरिंग इंडस्ट्री के लिए यह आपदा काल किसी बड़े संकट की तरह था जिसमें ट्रांसपोर्ट, शिपिंग, प्लेन सर्विसेज सभी बंद हो गए थे। मैनुफैक्चर किये गए सामानों को बाजार नहीं मिल रहा था। कुछ इसी तरह का हाल एडुकेशन और अन्य सर्विस सेक्टरों का था। लेकिन जल्द ही हमने इन चुनौतियों से सामना करना सीख लिया और इसमें तकनीक,आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस, रोबोटिक्स का बहुत बड़ा योगदान रहा है।

सीसीएल, रांची के सीएमडी पी.एम. प्रसाद ने कॉन्क्लेव को संबोधित करते हुए वैश्विक स्तर पर इन डेढ़ वर्षो के दौरान हुए बदलाओं, वर्क फ्रॉम होम , काम के घंटो में आई कमी और भारत के पड़ोसी देशों में बदलती परिस्थिति की भी चर्चा की। उन्होंने बताया कि आपदा के कारण आयी मंदी और उत्पादन में कमी को पूरा करने में कोल इंडस्ट्रीज का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान होगा।

कॉन्क्लेव के उदघाटन सत्र के समापन अवसर पर धन्यवाद ज्ञापन करने का कार्य यूनिवर्सिटी रजिस्ट्रार प्रो. डॉ. पीयूष रंजन ने किया। उन्होंने कॉन्क्लेव में शामिल सभी अतिथियों का स्नेह पूर्ण धन्यवाद किया और पैनल डिस्कसन में शामिल होने वाले कॉर्पोरेट जागत के दिगज्जओं का अभिवादन और अभिनंदन किया।

Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region was established in the year 1968 by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and is entrusted with the responsibilities of implementation and monitoring of National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) under the provisions of The Apprentices Act 1961 as amended time to time pertaining to the skill development of graduate and diploma engineers in engineering and technology, non-engineering graduates in designated subject fields and Apprenticeship/Internship Embedded Degree Programme at undergraduate levels in the 13 States and UTs located in Eastern Region of India. HON’BLE GOVERNOR OF JHARKHAND ADDRESSES STUDENTS AT WORKSHOP ORGANISED BY JRU

“Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi is continuously dedicated towards quality education, high level research work and entrepreneurial thinking,” said Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand on Saturday. She was addressing the delegates via video conference at a workshop called ‘Fun-Doo Skills’ organised by Jharkhand Rai University (JRU), Ranchi in association with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand said that the online workshop, based on technical communication and skill development promotion, will be successful in creating a better understanding of technology, communication and education among students.
“I am sure that this workshop will definitely be successful in achieving its objectives. Through this, the youth will get to learn new-age skills related to technology and acquire relevant knowledge,” said Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Governor, while encouraging the students.
More than one thousand participants from various institutes, colleges and universities of Jharkhand participated in this workshop.
Dr Harbeen Arora, Chancellor, Jharkhand Rai University during her address said, “The vision of Jharkhand Rai University can be encapsulated in three words – knowledge, wisdom and humanity. It builds on our strengths while taking the University in new directions.”
Encouraging the students and staff for their contributions, Dr Arora said that a university’s success is inherently about students. “In our case the academic staff and students have enriched this institution. They have ensured the enviable reputation we have today”, she said.

Dr Arora remarked that India’s population is among the youngest in an ageing world. Hence India of 21st century is a country thriving with young dreams. Educational institutes play an important role in nurturing these dreams. Therefore, students are the focal point of all our activities at Jharkhand Rai University. We aspire to be a university where India’s youth can achieve great things, with the finest possible conditions for students to mould their future. This focus unifies us in what we do and how we do it.
Dr Savita Sengar, Vice Chancellor, Jharkhand Rai University during her welcome address thanked the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand saying, “I am honoured to have the presence of Her Excellency who has been and continues to be a constant inspiration to this university. Time and again she has guided us in our efforts towards making this university a centre of excellence for the students of Jharkhand and adjoining states.”

“Today’s workshop Fun-Doo Skills, organised by Jharkhand Rai University in association with UNICEF is in line with her guidance that – nurturing students is like building the future of the state of Jharkhand. And in turn, contributing to nation building efforts by preparing the youngsters for future leadership roles,” said Dr Segar.

While giving the vote of thanks, Dr Piyush Ranjan, Registrar, Jharkhand Rai University encouraged all the student participants to take benefit of this platform and train themselves with skills that will be helpful to seek employment.

EASY ENTREPRENEURSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN MUSHROOM CULTIVATION

A three-day workshop on ‘Pre & Post Harvest Management of Mushroom’ was recently organized by the Department of Agriculture, Jharkhand Rai University. Scientists from leading organizations were guest speakers at the workshop. More than 100 agriculture science students attended the sessions. The workshop was an opportunity for students to learn cultivation of mushrooms and entrepreneurship opportunities arising out of it. The key objective of the seminar was to facilitate a better understanding of mushroom cultivation technology and usage of modern farming techniques in a practical setup.

Mushroom cultivation production techniques have been an important part of the ELP (Experiential Learning Programmes) for B.Sc & M. Sc Agriculture Science students at Jharkhand Rai University.

In the past, the university has organized regular study tours to ICAR, DMR (Directorate of Mushroom Institute) at Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

Day 1
Dr. Ajit Kumar Jha- Sr. Scientist, (Plant Pathology) ICAR-RCER FSRCHPR-Ranchi, spoke in detail about Production Technology in Mushrooms. Dr. Jha explained the mushroom varieties and production time, familiarising students from spawning method preparation to its management.

Day 2
Dr. Anuradha Srivastava – Scientist (Food Technology) DMR, ICAR, Solan spoke about Post-harvest Management of Mushrooms as they have a low shelf-life. Hence, it’s important to know the proper Handling and value additions. She also spoke about setting up a grading, packaging, and canning unit for the mushroom. Different modes of transport for harvested mushrooms as per distance were also discussed.

Day 3
Unlike vegetables or cereal crops, mushrooms do not require much manual labour, financial investment, or time. Mushrooms have a short growth cycle and their cultivation is a good option to generate income and become financially independent.

Some of the key thoughts on Mushroom cultivation as an Entrepreneurial Venture, shared by Dr. Santosh Kumar Asst. Professor cum Junior Scientist (Plant Pathology), MBAC Saharsa on the 3rd day of the workshop are mentioned below –

Nutritional Value of Mushrooms
Mushrooms are a delicacy in Jharkhand. Whether it is Oyster or button mushroom or the rare Rugda- mushroom varieties have been an integral part of Jharkhand’s food culture of both tribal as well as non-tribal communities.

Low in calories, fat and cholesterol-free, mushrooms contain over a dozen minerals plus vitamins that include copper, potassium, magnesium, zinc and a number of B vitamins such as folate. Mushrooms are also high in antioxidants – selenium and glutathione – substances believed to protect cells from damage, reduce chronic disease and inflammation.

ग्रामीण कृषि कार्य अनुभव(रॉवे) : बीएससी एग्रीकल्चर की डिग्री के साथ रूरल डेवलोपमेन्ट का प्रैक्टिकल एक्सपीरियंस

किसी भी देश की अर्थव्यवस्था का आंकलन उस देश की खेती-किसानी की स्थिति से होता है। एग्रीकल्चर का नाम सुनते ही आज की आधुनिक पीढ़ी के मन में गाँव के कामधाम का चित्रण सामने आता है परन्तु वास्तविकता यह है कि देश की 70 % जनसंख्या तो रोजगार के क्षेत्र में खेती-किसानी से ही जुड़ी है।

पिछले छह दशक से इस कार्य में युवाओं ने इसके गहन अध्ययन, शोध व प्रयोग में बतौर कृषि कर्मचारी के रूप में हाथ बटाएं हैं, जिससे कृषि में भी आधुनिकता आई है, नवीन तकनीकों का प्रसार हुआ है।

इन सब के बावजूद भी आज इस क्षेत्र में युवा शक्ति की कमी है यानि युवाओं के लिये यहां कॅरियर की अथाह सम्भावना है। खास तौर से अध्ययन और स्वरोजगार के क्षेत्र में विशेष सम्भावना है।

कक्षा 12 के बाद कृषि में 4 साल का कोर्स है, जिसको बीएससी-एग्रीकल्चर/बीएससी–एग्रीकल्चर (ऑनर्स) का कोर्स कहते हैं, साथ ही इस कोर्स को प्रोफेशनल कोर्स की भी मान्यता है। इसके लिये छात्र कक्षा 11 या 12 में एग्रीकल्चर या बायोलॉजी से उतीर्ण होना आवश्यक है।

इस चार साल के एग्रीकल्चरल साइंस के कोर्स में हम एग्रीकल्चर के विभिन्न विषयों का अध्ययन वैज्ञानिक पद्धति से क्रमबद्ध रूप से करते हैं, जिसमे सेमेस्टर प्रणाली (छ: माह का एक सेमेस्टर) की भूमिका होती है। उस दौरान समस्त एग्रीकल्चरल टेक्नोलॉजी के सभी विषयों पर गहन अध्ययन, प्रायोगिक और सैद्धांतिक रूप से होता है।

अध्ययन का अंतिम वर्ष प्रायोगिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण वर्ष है। इसमें कृषि, किसान,समाज, गाँव और खेत खलिहान से जुड़ी सामाजिक और व्यवहारिक जानकारियों से विद्यार्थियों को रूबरू होना पड़ता है।

ग्रामीण कृषि कार्य अनुभव (RAWE) कार्यक्रम अंतिम वर्ष की एक प्रमुख गतिविधि है। कृषि स्नातकों के पेशेवर कौशल का सम्मान करके उनमें आत्मविश्वास पैदा करना एवं आईसीएआर द्वारा स्नातक स्तर पर रावे को शुरू करने का प्रमुख उद्देश्य है। पूरे कार्यक्रम को आठ मॉड्यूल में विभाजित किया गया है जिसके माध्यम से छात्रों को कृषि और ग्रामीण विकास में वर्तमान और उभरते अवसरों और चुनौतियों से अवगत कराया जाता है। फार्म प्लानिंग, वाटरशेड डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम, एंटरप्रेन्योरशिप डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम, रिसर्च स्टेशन और केवीके प्रशिक्षण और विलेज स्टे छात्रों को इन रणनीतिक क्षेत्रों का व्यावहारिक अनुभव प्रदान करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए मुख्य मॉड्यूल हैं।इसके अलावा छात्रों को कृषि और ग्रामीण विकास में वर्तमान और उभरते अवसरों और चुनौतियों से अवगत कराया जाता है। फार्म योजना, वाटरशेड विकास कार्यक्रम, उद्यमिता विकास कार्यक्रम, कृषि क्लीनिक, कृषि भवन प्रशिक्षण, अनुसंधान स्टेशन और केवीके प्रशिक्षण, एनजीओ प्रशिक्षण और विलेज स्टे छात्रों को इन रणनीतिक क्षेत्रों का व्यावहारिक अनुभव प्रदान करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए मुख्य मॉड्यूल हैं। ग्रामीण प्रवास के दौरान, छात्र एक पखवाड़े के लिए ग्रामीण परिवारों के साथ रहते हैं, जो किसानों को फिर से खोजने का एक दुर्लभ अवसर प्रदान करता है।
