Diploma CSE – Program Overview

Diploma in Computer Science Engineering includes software and hardware design. This course prepares you for a career in IT. The subjects covered in this program are – computer programming, computer systems, networking and computer hardware. Course Details Diploma CSE

In Diploma in Computer Science Engineering course, students will get information about the basic knowledge of Computer Science, Mathematics, Programming, C++, Python, and other topics. The student will specialise in applications like RDBMS and GUI tools based on Windows/LINUX environment. After the course completion, a student can appear for selection for lateral entry in to B.Tech./B.E. second year directly.

The program educational objectives of the Diploma program in Computer Science Engineering take into consideration the university mission and the constituents‟ needs by producing graduates who will be able:

Diploma holders of the Computer Science Engineering Program will be able to:

  • PO1: Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and Electronics and Communication engineering to solve the engineering problems.
  • PO2: Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • PO3: Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • PO4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate techniques to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability, and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • PO6: Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
