130 यूनिट ब्लड जमा कर राय युनिवर्सिटी ने इस वर्ष का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा योगदान दिया।

झारखण्ड राय युनिवर्सिटी में मंगलवार 24 सितंबर को ब्लड डोनेशन कैंप का आयोजन रिम्स, रांची के सहयोग से आयोजित किया गया. झारखण्ड राय युनिवर्सिटी के कमड़े कैंपस में आयोजित इस कैंप में स्टूडेंट्स और स्टॉफ ने बढ़ चढ़ कर भाग लिया और “रक्त दान महादान” को चरितार्थ किया।

कैंप में रिम्स राँची की टीम उपस्थित थी जिसमे डॉ कविता और डॉ. चिन्मयानंद ( ब्लड बैंक रिम्स, रांची ) अपनी टीम के साथ उपस्थित थे। 1 दिन के कैंप के दौरान राय युनिवर्सिटी कैंपस से 130 यूनिट ब्लड इकठठा किया गया जो इस चालू वर्ष (सितंबर महीने तक ) का अबतक का सेकंड हाईएस्ट कंट्रीब्यूशन था।

राय युनिवर्सिटी के रजिस्ट्रार डॉ. पियूष रंजन ने व्यक्तिकक रूप से उपस्थित चिकिसकों से मुलाकात कर इस आयोजन के लिए धन्यवाद दिया। “उन्होंने 130 यूनिट ब्लड कैंपस से एकट्ठा किये जाने पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की और युनिवर्सिटी के योगदान को जीवन रक्छा के लिए अमूल्य निधि बताया ”
रक्त दान शिविर के आयोजन से पहले 23 सितंबर को कैंपस में ब्लड डोनेशन अवेयरनेस और मोटिवेशनल सेशन का आयोजन किया गया था जिसमे रिम्स रांची की डॉ. उषा सरोज (असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर ब्लड बैंक ) और डॉ. कविता देवगढ़िया (असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर ब्लड बैंक ) ने युनिवर्सिटी के सेमिनार हॉल में अपना व्याख्यान दिया। अपने सबोधन के दौरान डॉ. उषा सरोज ने बताया की ” रक्त में उपस्थित लाल रक्त कणिकाएं 90 से 120 दिन में स्वत: ही मर जाती है इसलिए हर 3 माह में रक्तदान किया जा सकता है.

सामान्य व्यक्ति एक बार रक्तदान कर तीन जानें बचा सकता है। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार अनुसार भारत में सालाना एक करोड़ यूनिट रक्त की जरूरत होती है। लेकिन करीब 75 प्रतिशत रक्त ही उपलब्ध हो पाता है, जिसके कारण लगभग 25 लाख यूनिट खून के अभाव में हर साल सैकड़ों मरीज़ों की जान चली जाती है।

सवा अरब आबादी वाले भारत देश में रक्तदाताओं का आंकड़ा कुल आबादी का एक प्रतिशत भी नहीं है, जिसका एक बड़ा कारण है रक्तदान से जुड़ी जागरुकता का ना होना।

व्यक्ति जब अपनी इच्छा से बिना किसी आर्थिक लाभ के रक्त देता है तो उसे स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान कहते हैं। सामान्यतः स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान से प्राप्त रक्त अनेक संक्रमणों जैसे हेपेटाइटिस-बी, हेपेटाइटिस-सी, मलेरिया, सिफलिस एवं एच.आई.वी. /एड्स से मुक्त होता है। व्यवसायिक रक्तदाता जो केवल धन कमाने की इच्छा रखते हैं, यौन रोग, हेपेटाइटिस तथा एड्स जैसे संक्रामक रोगों से ग्रसित हो सकते है एवं रक्त प्राप्त करने वाले व्यक्ति को भी संक्रमित कर सकते हैं।“

डॉ. कविता देवगढ़िया (असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर ब्लड बैंक ) ने अपने सम्बोधन में ब्लड डोनेशन और इससे जुडी भ्रांतिया और तकनिकी पहलु पर जानकारी दी उन्होंने बताया की “कृत्रिम रक्त बनाने के प्रयास किये जा रहे हैं पर अभी तक इसका कोई कारगर विकल्प नहीं मिला। है। रक्तदान ही एकमात्र उपाय है।

कोई भी स्वस्थ व्यक्ति जिसकी उम्र 18 से 65 वर्ष के बीच हो, वज़न 45 किलोग्राम या अधिक हो तथा हीमोग्लोबिन कम से कम 12.5 ग्राम प्रति डेसीलीटर हो, रक्तदान कर सकता है। मानव जीवन की रक्षा के लिए हम सभी की नैतिक जिम्मेदारी है कि उन लोगों की मदद करें, जिन्हें रक्त की आवश्यकता है। राय विश्वविद्यालय में प्रतिवर्ष रक्त दान शिविर का आयोजन किया जाता है जिसमे स्टूडेंट्स, फैकल्टी और स्टॉफ बड़े जोश के साथ रक्त दान कर दूसरों के जीवन बचाने का पुनीत कार्य करते है। रक्त दान शिविर के आयोजन में प्रो. रश्मि की अहम् भूमिका रही जिनके प्रयास से जागरूकता व्याख्यान और शिविर का आयोजन हुआ।

रक्तदान करने से चार लाभ ।

  • आपको किसी का जीवन बचाने पर आत्मसंतोष होता है।
  • रक्तदान करने से आपके शरीर में नया रक्त बनने की प्रक्रिया तेज हो जाती है।
  • शोध से पता चलता है कि रक्तदान करने से रक्तदाता के शरीर में कोलेस्ट्रॉल की मात्रा नियंत्रित होती है और ह्रदय रोग की संभावना कम हो जाती है।
  • आवश्यकता होने पर आपको स्वयं के लिए या आपके परिवार के किसी सदस्य के लिए रक्तकोष से रक्त लेने में प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी।

क्या आप जानते है ?

  • एक औसत व्यक्ति के शरीर में 10 यूनिट यानि (5-6 लीटर) रक्त होता है।
  • रक्तदान में केवल 1 यूनिट रक्त ही लिया जाता है।
  • कई बार केवल एक कार एक्सीडेंट (दुर्घटना) में ही 100 यूनिट रक्त की जरूरत पड़ जाती है।
  • एक बार रक्तदान से आप 3 लोगों की जिंदगी बचा सकते हैं।
  • भारत में सिर्फ 7 प्रतिशत लोगों का ब्लड ग्रुप ‘O नेगेटिव’ है।
  • ‘O नेगेटिव’ ब्लड ग्रुप यूनिवर्सल डोनर कहलाता है, इसे किसी भी ब्लड ग्रुप के व्यक्ति को दिया जा सकता है।
  • इमरजेंसी के समय जैसे जब किसी नवजात बालक या अन्य को खून की आवश्यकता हो और उसका ब्लड ग्रुप ना पता हो तब उसे’O नेगेटिव’ ब्लड दिया जा सकता है।
  • ब्लड डोनेशन की प्रक्रिया काफी सरल होती है और रक्त दाता को इसमें कोई खास मुश्किल नहीं हैं।
  • आप 18 से 60 वर्ष की आयु तक रक्तदान कर सकते हैं।
  • रक्त दाता का वजन, पल्स रेट, ब्लड प्रेशर, बॉडी टेम्परेचर आदि चीजों के सामान्य पाए जाने पर ही डॉक्टर्स या ब्लड डोनेशन टीम के सदस्य आपका ब्लड लेते हैं।
  • पुरुष 3 महीने और महिलाएं 4 महीने के अंतराल में नियमित रक्तदान कर सकती हैं।
  • हर कोई रक्तदान नहीं कर सकता। यदि आप स्वस्थ हैं, आपको किसी प्रकार का बुखार या बीमारी नहीं हैं, तो ही आप रक्तदान कर सकते हैं।
  • अगर कभी रक्तदान के बाद आपको चक्कर आना, पसीना आना, वजन कम होना या किसी भी अन्य प्रकार की समस्या लंबे समय तक बनी हुई हो तो आप रक्तदान ना करें।

Industrial visit is an important part of professional programs run by the University. Recently, students of MBA and BBA first semester visited Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Ranchi local office. More than 83 students were part of this visit to experience the actual working environment and the processes. Dr. Roshan Kumar and Dr Abhishek Pratap from the University spearheaded the visit.

The visit was beneficial for the students as it provided valuable insights into the functions and role of the regulatory body on the investors, exchanges, Industries etc.

Mr.Nirdosh Ranjan Minz the Deputy General Manager and Mohammad Shahid, Manager at SEBI, elucidated the working of SEBI to the students. They spoke on subjects like Investors Protection, Investment avenues and functions of SEBI.

The session highlighted various Investment avenues, its pros and cons, working of stock exchanges and various rules and regulations of SEBI.

क्विज ओ कोड 1.0 का समापन – झारखण्ड राय विश्वविद्यालय

झारखण्ड राय युनिवर्सिटी, रांची में डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ कंप्यूटर साइंस एंड इनफार्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी ने क्विज प्रतियोगिता क्विज ओ कोड 1.0 का आयोजन किया. प्रतियोगिता में 10टीमों ने भाग लिया।

प्रतियोगिता को तीन भागों में आयोजित किया गया था जिनके नाम मेंटल हैक, एरर टेरर और अल्गो क्राफ्ट था. प्रतियोगिता में शामिल होने वाली टीमों के नाम इस प्रकार थे – विंडोस, डॉस,लिनक्स,उबंटू, मैक ,एंड्राइड ,यूनिक्स ,सोलारिस, फेडोरा और आईओएस।

क्विज ओ कोड 1.0 की विजेता रहने वाली टीम इस प्रकार रही – क्विज प्रतियोगिता मेन्टल हैक की विजेता टीम रही विंडोज जिसमे शिवानी कुमारी- सपना कुमारी -वारुणी मिश्रा और आयुष्मान शमित थे। वहीँ अलगो क्राफ्ट की विजेता टीम रही एंड्राइड जिसमे – मिथुन कुमार – फरहा अंजुम- चन्दन मोदी थे। एरर टेरर के विजेताओं के नाम इस प्रकार है- आयुष्मान – बबलू कुमार और राकेश कुमार।

प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ युनिवर्सिटी के रजिस्ट्रार डॉ. पीयूष रंजन ने लाइटिंग कैंडल के जरिये किया यह कैंडल इलेक्ट्रॉनिक लाइट्स का बना हुआ था जिसे मोबाइल के जरिये ऑपरेट किया गया. अपने संबोधन में डॉ. रंजन ने कहा की “इनोवेशन हर कही है और इसे किसी भी रूप में अपनाया जा सकता है। डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ कंप्यूटर साइंस एंड इनफार्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी का यह प्रयास बेहद सराहनीय है इस प्रयास को इंटर यूनिवर्सिटी लेवल तक ले जाने की जरुरत है। क्विज ओ कोड १.० के जरिये कंप्यूटर साइंस और आई टी से जुड़े कॉलेज स्टूडेंट्स को एक प्लेटफार्म मिलेगा अपनी प्रतिभा को दिखाने का और कुछ नया सिखने का भी. ”

क्विज प्रतियोगिता के सफल सञ्चालन में प्रो. अनुराधा शर्मा , प्रो. अमरेंद्र की भूमिका रही। स्टूडेंट्स वॉलेंटियर्स राजेश , शयाम, नंदिता, मुस्कान, शशिकांत, दीक्छा और विनीत का सहयोग रहा।

YOUNG ENGINEERS PARTICIPATE IN TECH FEST 2019 JR UNIVERSITY, RANCHI

The science club of JRU organized a Tech Fest 2019 on 15 September at the University Ranchi campus to encourage young engineers to think out of the box and to honour the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

India celebrates 15 September as National Engineers’ Day to appreciate the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

Visvesvaraya is known for his contributions in the field of engineering. He installed an irrigation system with water floodgates at the Khadakvasla reservoir near Pune to raise the flood supply level and storage to the highest levels. Later, this system was also installed at Gwalior’s Tigra Dam and Mysuru’s Krishnaraja Sagara (KRS) dam. KRS created one of the largest reservoirs in Asia at the time.

He served as the Diwan of Mysore and was awarded the title of ‘Knight’ in 1915 as commander of the British Indian empire. He received the Bharat Ratna in 1955 and became a member of the London Institution of Civil Engineers before he was awarded a fellowship by the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore.

The Tech Fest 2019 at JRU was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Dr Savita Sengar. During her speech, Dr Sengar reminded students of the invaluable contributions made by M Visvesvaraya.

Dr Segar added, “Tech Fest is an opportunity for students to showcase their innovative ideas, besides keeping the spark of science alive. Students presenting science models also need to remember that they have to become role models for society as well. The right combination of knowledge, science, wisdom and academics are important, but so are life skills that give us the emotional quotient to make life more meaningful. You cannot progress in life or career by ignoring these soft skills. Then progress will become imbalanced.”

Later Dr Sengar spent time with the students to inspect their science/technical models and interacted with the budding engineers to understand the idea behind their models.

Students from Faculty of Science – Engineering and Faculty of Computer Science participated in this fest. Some of the models created by students groups are – smart home, highway technology, rain water harvesting, wastage collection, waste plastic road, green building, smart city Ranchi, light fidelity communication, treatment of sea water, save water in poly house, automatic human counter and light control system, service robot, and eco-friendly cycle.

Later, University faculty members, staff and students from various departments came along to view the models and encourage the participants. The entire Tech Fest 2019 was organized under the mentorship of Prof. Raghuvansh Singh.

इंडोर गेम्स का समापन डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ कंप्यूटर साइंस के स्टूडडेंट्स बने ओवरऑल विनर

झारखण्ड राय युनिवर्सिटी, स्पोर्ट्स क्लब के सहयोग से इंडोर गेम्स इन कैंपस प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया.

दो दिनों तक चलने वाले इस प्रतियोगिता में चेस, कैरमबोर्ड,टेबलटेनिस का आयोजन किया गया। स्पोर्ट्स क्लब अपनी एनुअल एक्टिविटी कैलेंडर के तहत क्लब एक्टिविटी इंडोर और आउटडोर स्पोर्ट्स की करती रहती है।

इसी कड़ी में दो दिनों के स्पोर्ट्स कम्पटीशन का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे कैरम के सिंगल मुकाबले (गर्ल्स) में सिविल इंजीनियरिंग की स्टूडेंट्स सुषमा कुमारी विजेता घोषित हुयी. वहीं बॉयज के सिंगल मुकाबले में आशीष कुमार (कंप्यूटर साइंस एंड इनफार्मेशन टेक्नोलाजी) को विजेता घोषित किया गया. कैरम के डबल मुकाबले में कंप्यूटर साइंस एंड इनफार्मेशन टेक्नोलाजी डिपार्टमेंट के स्टूडेंट्स आशीष कुमार और आयुष कुमार को विजयी घोषित किया गया, जबकि गर्ल्स के ग्रुप मुकाबले में बाजी मारी बीएससी एग्रीकल्चर की स्टूडेंट्स शशिकला और नेहा ने।

चेस के सिंगल मुकाबले में बॉयज की तरफ से माइनिंग इंजीनियरिंग के स्टूडेंट पवन कल्याण ने जीत का सेहरा पहना, वहीँ गर्ल्स के सिंगल मुकाबले में कंप्यूटर साइंस डिपार्टमेंट की प्रियंका मिंज ने जीत का स्वाद चखा।

टेबल टेनिस मुकाबलों में बेहद नेक टू नेक फाइट देखने को मिली जिनमे बॉयज की तरफ से कंप्यूटर साइंस डिपार्टमेंट के ह्रितिक कुमार और गर्ल्स की ओर से इसी डिपार्टमेंट की अनिशा ने कड़ी मेहनत कर बाजी अपने नाम किया।

इस प्रकार इंडोर मुकाबलों में ओवरआल चैम्पियन डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ कंप्यूटर साइंस के स्टूडेंट्स रहे जिन्होंने सिंगल और डबल मुकाबलों में अपने को साबित किया। कैरम के सिंगल मुकाबले में बीएससी एग्रीकल्चर की नेहा को सेकंड और इसी डिपार्टमेंट की एकता को थर्ड घोषित किया गया, जबकि बॉयज के सिंगल मुकाबले में माइनिंग इंजीनियरिंग के राजा तांती को सेकंड और मन्नवर ताज को सेकंड और थर्ड घोषित किया गया।

कैरम के डबल मुकाबले में बॉयज के ग्रुप में मेकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग डिपार्टमेंट के उदय नायक और कुंदन चौहान को उपविजेता घोषित किया गया जबकि गर्ल्स की ओर से कंप्यूटर साइंस डिपार्टमेंट की मामोनी और अंजलि को उपविजेता चुना गया।

चेस के मुकाबले में डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ मैनजेमेंट के कुंदन कुमार को सेकंड और कंप्यूटर साइंस डिपार्टमेंट के फैज़ल रजा को थर्ड घोषित किया गया। गर्ल्स के ग्रुप मेंएग्रीकल्चर की एकता कुमारी चेस मुकाबले की उपविजेता रही। टेबल टेनिस मुकाबलों में डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ मैनजेमेंट के सोमय बेसरा सेकंड और कंप्यूटर साइंस डिपार्टमेंट फैज़ल राजा थर्ड रहे.

प्रतियोगिता के शुभारंभ के अवसर पर युनिवर्सिटी के रजिस्ट्रार डॉ. पीयूष रंजन ने स्टूडेंट्स का हौसला बढ़ाते हुए गेम्स में पार्टिसिपेट किया। राय युनिवेर्सिटी स्पोर्ट्स क्लब के इंडोर गेम्स के आयोजन में स्पोर्ट्स क्लब कोर्डिनेटर प्रो बिनोद महतो, प्रो. अमरेंद्र , प्रो. सुमित किशोर का सहयोग रहा. क्लब के स्टूडेंट्स वॉलेंटियर्स में राहुल कुमार सोनी , अनिशा, अंकुर, फैजल, मिमिन्स प्रियंका और शमशेर ने दो दिनों तक इवेंट्स में सहयोग प्रदान किया।

टीचर्स डे पर विश्वविद्यालय में सम्म्मान समारोह का आयोजन

5 सितंबर टीचर्स डे के अवसर पर झारखण्ड राय विश्वविद्यालय में स्टूडेंटन्स के द्वारा कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे अभिनन्दन सह सम्मान समारोह का आयोजन किया गया था. कार्यक्रम के प्रारम्भ में देश के प्रथम उपराष्ट्रपति, दार्शनिक और टीचर डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधा कृष्णन को याद करते हुए टीचर्स डे के अवसर पर दीप प्रज्जवलित कार्यक्रम किया गया जिसमे विश्वविद्यालय के सभी फैकल्टी और स्टाफ शामिल हुए। कार्यक्रम के दौरान सांस्कृतिक और रंगारंग गतिविधयों का आयोजन किया गया था. जिसमे कविता पाठ, डांस, ग्रुप डांस, रैप डांस, मोटिवेशनल स्पीच स्टूडेंट्स के द्वारा दिया गया.

इस दौरान युनिवेर्सिटी की कुलपति डॉ. सविता सेंगर ने स्टूडेंस को अड्रेस करते हुए कहा की एजुकेशन के जरिये ही जीवन में एक मुकाम बनाया जा सकता है और विश्वविद्यालय अपनी भूमिका बेहद गंभीर तरीके से निभा रहा है. इस कार्य में विश्वविद्यालय के फैकल्टी बेहद ईमानदारी के साथ अपना कार्य कर रहे है। विश्वविद्यालय के रजिस्ट्रार डॉ. पियूष रंजन ने स्तापना काल से वर्तमान के सफर को याद करते हुए उन सभी कर्मियों को याद किया जिन्होंने विश्वविद्यालय में अपना योगदान दिया है. उन्होंने कहा की टीचर्स डे किसी टीचर की निष्ठ, लगन, और उसके जुनून का सम्म्मान भी है जो वह किसी स्टूडेंट्स को सफल बनाने के लिए लगता है”

कार्यक्रम के दौरान इलेक्ट्रिकल एंड इलेक्ट्रॉनिक डिपार्टमेंट के प्रोफेसर रघुवंश सिंह को फैकल्टी ऑफ़ दी ईयर का अवार्ड , डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ माइनिंग इंजीनियरिंग के प्रोफेसर सुमित किशोर को मेंटर ऑफ़ दी ईयर का अवार्ड, प्रो. रश्मि को कंट्रीब्यूशन टुवर्ड्स ओवरऑल डेवलपमेंट ऑफ़ द यूनिवर्सिटी के लिए पुरस्कृत किया गया. डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ एग्रीकल्चर को डिपार्टमेन्ट ऑफ़ ईयर का अवार्ड दिया गया. इसके अलावा विश्वविद्यालय से लम्बे समय से जुड़ कर कार्य कर रहे कई फैकल्टी और स्टाफ को भी सम्म्मानित किया गया जिनमे युनिवर्सिटी के डिप्टी रजिस्ट्रार एग्जामिनेशन प्रो. वेद प्रकाश सिंह, एग्जामिनेशन कंट्रोलर प्रो. सब्यसाची चक्रवर्ती, डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ मैनजेमेंट के सीनियर प्रोफेसर डॉ. अशफ़ाक़ आलम, अकादमिक कोर्डिनेटर डॉ. श्रद्धा प्रसाद, डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ कंप्यूटर साइंस की प्रो. प्रियंका श्रीवास्तव, डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ मैनजेमेंट के मैनजेमेंट के प्रोफेसर डॉ. अभिषेक प्रताप, एच ओ डी डॉ. रौशन कुमार, नॉन टीचिंग स्टाफ में आई टी हेड सपन कुमार दत्ता, एमआईएस हेड अमित कुशवाहा, प्रशांत मिश्रा, प्रभु कुजूर, अमित कर्ण,रंजीत प्रजापति शामिल रहे जिनका सहयोग लम्बे समय से विश्वविद्यालय को प्राप्त होता रहा है। कार्यक्रम के समापन अवसर पर सभी स्टूडेंट्स और फैकल्टी का अभिवादन करते हुए कार्यक्रम के समापन की घोषणा की गयी. कार्यक्रम में एंकरिंग अनिष्का त्रिपाठी ने किया।

Of course not. Teachers are the defining forces of our lives. They are like the lighthouses that blink when we get lost in our life and career. They give us hope for our future.

Teachers enlighten us in so many ways.

Every year, on September 5, we celebrate Teacher’s Day to show our gratitude and appreciation towards our mentors, guides and teachers. Their unique role in our lives is matchless.

This year, on Teacher’s Day, JRU Ranchi University celebrated this day with its community of students. A formal event was held where students participated by performing cultural activities.

Addressing the students, Vice Chancellor, Dr Savita Sengar said, ‘Education is the medium through which we build our future and career. And at JRU, we take this commitment towards education and students seriously.’

Registrar, Dr Piyush Ranjan said that this day is a recognition and honour to all those teachers who have sincerely pledged their efforts towards shaping careers of students.

During the event, few of the faculties were honoured for their continuous efforts towards students’ development.

Prof. Raghuvansh Singh from Department of Electrical and Electronics was recognised as the ‘Faculty of the Year’. From Department of Mining Engineering, Prof. Sumeet Kishore was given the recognition of ‘Mentor of the Year’. Prof. Rashmi Department of Life Skills was recognised for her contribution on towards overall development of the University. ‘Department of the Year’of the yearaward was given away to Department of Agriculture.

Several faculties were recognised for their continuous support to University activities and growth. Few of the names are –Prof.Ved Prakash Singh,Deputy RegistrarExammination; Prof. Sabyasachi Chakravarti, Controller of Examination; Dr. Ashfak Alam, Department of Management; Dr. Shradha Prasad, Academic Coordinator; Prof.Priyanka Srivastava: Department of Computer Science , Dr. Abhisekh Pratap and H.O.D Dr. Roshan Kumar from Department of commerce and Management.

Other support staff members like Sapan kumar Dutta, Amit Kushwaha, Prashant Mishra, Prabhu Kujur, Amit Karan, Ranjit Prajapati were also recognised for their continuous support to the University and its smooth functioning.

The program was attended by enthusiastic students and all the University staff members.

लखींद्र महतो, बीटेक सेवेन के स्टूडेंट ने क्विज प्रतियोगिता में दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया

झारखण्ड राय विशवविद्यालय के बीटेक सेवेन के  स्टूडेंट लखींद्र महतो ने जमशेदपुर में आयोजित कंप्यूटर एंड साइंस क्विज प्रतियोगिता में दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया है।

जमशेदपुर के किरण इंस्टिट्यूट ने  क्विज प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया था जिसमे  प्रथम पुरस्कार के लिए 20 हजार रूपए और दूसरे पुरस्कार के लिए 10 हजार रूपए दिए जाने थे ।

खरसावां जिले का रहनेवाला लखींद्र के लिए जमशेदपुर घर की तरह है।  जमशेदपुर में पढ़ाई कर रहे लखींद्र के दोस्तों ने इसकी  सूचना रांची में लखींद्र को देते हुए कहा की कंप्यूटर और साइंस सब्जेक्ट को लेकर आयोजित किये जा रहे क्विज प्रतियोगिता में जरूर शामिल हो.

लखींद्र  अपनी जीत के बाद बेहद उत्साहित है और अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए कहता है ” कंप्यूटर और साइंस मेरे पसंदीदा सब्जेक्ट रहे है इस कारन मैं क्विज प्रतियोगिता में शामिल होने के लिए तुरंत हाँ कर दी। “

किरण इंस्टिट्यूट ने प्रतियोगिता को ओपन to आल स्टूडेंट्स रखा था और 300 रूपए देकर कोई भी इस प्रतियोगिता में शामिल हो सकता था ।

लखींद्र  300 रूपए लेकर  प्रतियोगिता में शामिल होने के लिए  जमशेदपुर पहुंचे और तीसरे राउंड  में 200 नम्बरों में से 193 अंक हासिल कर प्रतियोगिता में दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया।

उनका कहना है “2 नम्बरों से मैं फर्स्ट पोजीसन को पाने से चूक गया 193 नम्बरों के साथ मैं दूसरे स्थान पर रहा और 195 नम्बरों के साथ प्रतियोगी पहले स्थान पर, इसका मुझे थोड़ा अफ़सोस तो है लेकिन मुझे दूसरे स्थान पर आने की भी खुशी है यह मेरे लिए और मेरे डिपार्टमेंट के लिए गौरव की बात है.”

लखींद्र महतो की सफलता पर उसके मेंटर प्रो. ओमप्रकाश सत्यम ने भी अपना विचार व्यक्त  करते हुए इस सफलता पर ख़ुशी  जताते हुए  लखींद्र को एक मेहनती स्टूडेंट बताया ।

विश्वविद्यालय के डिपार्टमेंट और मेकेनिकल डिपार्टमेंट के हेड ऑफ़ डिपार्टमेंट प्रो. श्रीपाल मिश्रा और सभी फैकल्टी मेंबर्स ने विभाग की तरफ से अपनी शुभकामना में विभाग के स्टूडेंट लखींद्र के उज्वल भविष्य की कामना व्यक्त  की है ।

INTEGRATING HEALTH AND EDUCATION – PROJECT MINDFULNESS INITIATED BY JRU

Physical and mental fitness are interlinked. When you feel healthy, your mind is agile and active. With this thought, JRU launches regular Zumba sessions for students to make health a part of University’s curriculum. Launched as Project Mindfulness, it is aimed at helping students to improve their health and well-being.

HEALTHY CAMPUS RANCHI UNIVERSITY

The Project was launched during ROOTS 2019, as freshers were initiated into the JRU family. The seeks to encourage healthy lifestyle among JRU students, staff and faculty.

“This project span the areas of physical and mental fitness. It is about providing an environment that creates awareness on the importance of health and wellness, topics that deserve attention,” says Dr Piyush Ranjan, Registrar, JRU.

Such initiatives on campus always help students learn strategies to manage stress related to student life and achieve work/life balance.

“JRU’s Project Mindfulness initiative is important because it promotes well-being, it creates conversation about the importance of well-being, and it supports students with possible solutions for living balanced lives,” Dr Ranjan adds.

The Zumba sessions at ROOTS 2019 witnessed maximum participation from freshers. For some of them, it is not only a time to become healthy, but also a time to bond and make new friends.

As education and health integrate on JRU campus, the journey of ‘healthy mind in a healthy body’ continues for every student from now on. It is time to say – Health wins!

FRESHERS SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES – ROOTS PROGRAM 2019

The first day and the first week of college is always unique. You are at a new campus. There are unknown faces all around, who soon become your friends. Let’s face it. The entire experience is exciting, as it is overwhelming. Although they bring smiles and fond memories later.

Three freshers share their experiences of first day at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi campus.

For Radhika Kumari from Ranchi, it feels like a new beginning. This is her first day at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. Radhika is attending the Foundation Program named “ROOTS –2019”. Keeping in mind the students coming from different and diverse background, JRU brings in 10 days meticulously designed Foundation Program.

RADHIKA KUMARI, DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING (ELECTRICAL)

“ROOTS – 2019” is designed around the students, helping them to uncover the answers to the questions they have, and providing the information regarding the campus resources, programs and services. It is also an opportunity for the students to learn, how to navigate the campus.

Radhika has taken admission in Diploma in Engineering (Electrical). Explaining her excitement, she says, ‘I’m going through mixed emotions. There is anxiety, a sense of hope for the future, a kind of expectation from the University and a certain amount of curiosity to explore the next steps.’ Though, in her own words she is ‘nervous’, but she is prepared to handle this feeling.

‘Other freshers attending the Roots Program have been friendly to me. I admire the faculties who are paying special attention to all the new students,’ Radhika says.

‘My first day at the University has a significant meaning to me,’ says Aman Vishwakarma, a fresher pursuing Bachelor of Computer Applications. What’s interesting and unique about Aman is that he is paying for his education himself. For Aman it is the ‘beginning of my dream to go to a University and pursue higher education.’ He is full of enthusiasm. More than the University, Aman has huge expectations from himself and is eager to build his career. He shares, ‘I always wanted to be a serious student who would decide on a career path and pursue the same relentlessly.’ For Aman, the first day at Jharkhand Rai University was fun-filled.

AMAN VISHWAKARMA, BACHELOR IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS, 1ST YEAR, JRU

‘I enjoyed the roots sessions, especially Zumba, that’s something new. It was a day full of new experiences’ he smiles.

Archana Kumari, a fresher pursuing Master of Computer Application at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi says the first day was like ‘landing on a new territory. You don’t know what to do next.’ On her first experiences at the campus she says, ‘Well, you have this orientation day speech, an intro of your college family. You get the map of college (in your head not on paper). Once done, you are free to explore college. Good to see the posters of anti-ragging all around the campus. Ragging is banned in JRU so feel free to talk to senior. I enjoyed the roots classes.’
