Industrial visit is an important part of professional programs run by the University. Recently, students of MBA and BBA first semester visited Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Ranchi local office. More than 83 students were part of this visit to experience the actual working environment and the processes. Dr. Roshan Kumar and Dr Abhishek Pratap from the University spearheaded the visit.
The visit was beneficial for the students as it provided valuable insights into the functions and role of the regulatory body on the investors, exchanges, Industries etc.
Mr.Nirdosh Ranjan Minz the Deputy General Manager and Mohammad Shahid, Manager at SEBI, elucidated the working of SEBI to the students. They spoke on subjects like Investors Protection, Investment avenues and functions of SEBI.
The session highlighted various Investment avenues, its pros and cons, working of stock exchanges and various rules and regulations of SEBI.
He also mentored on the career options in SEBI and the process of selection. He encouraged students to ask questions and answered their queries with enthusiastically.
Such visit for students are helpful as it prepares them to face the interviews in their dream organisation. Besides, it is a process of active learning both inside and outside the classroom.
