“Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi is continuously dedicated towards quality education, high level research work and entrepreneurial thinking,” said Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand on Saturday. She was addressing the delegates via video conference at a workshop called ‘Fun-Doo Skills’ organised by Jharkhand Rai University (JRU), Ranchi in association with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand said that the online workshop, based on technical communication and skill development promotion, will be successful in creating a better understanding of technology, communication and education among students.
“I am sure that this workshop will definitely be successful in achieving its objectives. Through this, the youth will get to learn new-age skills related to technology and acquire relevant knowledge,” said Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Governor, while encouraging the students.
More than one thousand participants from various institutes, colleges and universities of Jharkhand participated in this workshop.
Dr Harbeen Arora, Chancellor, Jharkhand Rai University during her address said, “The vision of Jharkhand Rai University can be encapsulated in three words – knowledge, wisdom and humanity. It builds on our strengths while taking the University in new directions.”
Encouraging the students and staff for their contributions, Dr Arora said that a university’s success is inherently about students. “In our case the academic staff and students have enriched this institution. They have ensured the enviable reputation we have today”, she said.
Dr Arora remarked that India’s population is among the youngest in an ageing world. Hence India of 21st century is a country thriving with young dreams. Educational institutes play an important role in nurturing these dreams. Therefore, students are the focal point of all our activities at Jharkhand Rai University. We aspire to be a university where India’s youth can achieve great things, with the finest possible conditions for students to mould their future. This focus unifies us in what we do and how we do it.
Dr Savita Sengar, Vice Chancellor, Jharkhand Rai University during her welcome address thanked the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand saying, “I am honoured to have the presence of Her Excellency who has been and continues to be a constant inspiration to this university. Time and again she has guided us in our efforts towards making this university a centre of excellence for the students of Jharkhand and adjoining states.”
“Today’s workshop Fun-Doo Skills, organised by Jharkhand Rai University in association with UNICEF is in line with her guidance that – nurturing students is like building the future of the state of Jharkhand. And in turn, contributing to nation building efforts by preparing the youngsters for future leadership roles,” said Dr Segar.
While giving the vote of thanks, Dr Piyush Ranjan, Registrar, Jharkhand Rai University encouraged all the student participants to take benefit of this platform and train themselves with skills that will be helpful to seek employment.
