Call for Nominations
Jharkhand Rai University invites Principals / Heads of Institute/ NGOS/ Orphanages to nominate underserved girls to study under this program. Your timely nomination will empower a few girls to make a difference in the lives of their families and society.
Details of DreamZ Scholarships at Jharkhand Rai University
Eligibility for Undergraduate Programs: Pass outs from High School from a recognized board/awarding body.
Eligibility for Postgraduate Courses: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline.
Scholarship Cover: The tuition fee for the entire duration of the program shall be covered by Jharkhand Rai University. The Nodal Agency/NGO will be responsible for identifying sponsors to bear the cost of hostel accommodation. Please note that hostel accommodation for foreign nationals will be separate from that of students of Indian nationals, and the charges for foreign nationals may vary accordingly.
Proposal: We will appreciate your support in identifying and sending us nominations for such underserved girls from the remotest parts who cannot afford the quality higher education.
The Nodal Agency shall be responsible for verifying the eligibility documents and assessing the financial status of the nominated girls.
Admission will be granted in accordance with the University’s guidelines. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage if any false information or misrepresentation is detected.
Principals, Heads of Institutions, NGOs, Orphanages and any other organization interested in nominating underserved girls for this program are required to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University.
Upon execution of the MoU, the organization will be recognized as a Nodal Agency. All applications must be submitted to the University in the prescribed format through the designated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) of the Nodal Agency only.
Application Process:
STEP 1
Foreign Nationals – Register by visiting https://www.jru.edu.in/admission-form-for-foreign-nationals/.

STEP 2
Complete the application form and upload the required documents for eligibility verification.
Upon successful submission, a reference number will be sent to the registered email id.
STEP 3
The designated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from the Nodal Agency/NGO shall send an email to DreamZ@jru.edu.in, clearly mentioning the reference number in the subject line and attaching all relevant documents and details.
Please note that emails sent directly by candidates will not be entertained by the University under this scholarship program.
STEP 4
After the eligibility verification by the university, a provisional admission letter shall be issued and sent to the SPOC.
STEP 5
Admission shall be considered final only once the hostel fee as prescribed in the admission letter is received by the University through bank transfer/ wire transfer/ online payment and submit the receipt at DreamZ@jru.edu.in.
STEP 6
After the confirmation of the fees received by the University accounts, an Admission letter and a Bonafide letter will be issued which is required to apply for the Student Visa at the nearest Indian Embassy/ High Commission in the home country.
Pre-Arrival Information
- Students should make sure about the following points before leaving their home country
- Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi is well connected from Birsa Munda Airport (IXR) Ranchi. You may take a connecting flight to Birsa Munda Airport (IXR) Ranchi from Delhi and Kolkata International Airport. You need to book your ticket after taking a Valid Student Visa from the Indian Embassy / High Commission.
- Make sure that you have taken all the required vaccinations like Yellow Fever, Typhoid Vaccine, Hepatitis Vaccine, COVID-19 etc. to avoid medical complications while you are in India. Additionally, obtain a fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
- Make sure you inform Jharkhand Rai University admission Section for the Airport service/pickup at least one week prior to arrival and provide the complete details of flight.
- Make sure that you bring the Admission Letter issued by the University along with all the Certificates/Degrees and Transcripts (in original) and 20 passport size photographs.
- You can carry all your money in the form of Travellers Cheques, which can be easily redeemed at the airport as well as a number of foreign exchange offices and banks or you can use International Debit / Credit Cards.
- Temperature ranges between 30 to 40 degree Celsius during summers and 5 to 25 degree Celsius during winters. Here the winter season starts around November and remains up to March so the warm material (blankets, quilts, woolens, etc.) must be brought accordingly.
- Whilst everything is available in India, however try to get all that you would require during the initial few days. All the essentials can be availed from the University tuck shops as well as markets available around a range of 5 km from University Campus.
The electric standard in India works on 240 V. So, ensure that you have an adapter for your mobile or laptop if it operates on a different voltage in your country. Also, the electric sockets are 2 or 3 pin so ensure that you carry a converter in case required.
Post-Arrival Information
- Students should make sure about the following points after arriving in India:
- After reaching Birsa Munda Airport (IXR) Ranchi, University will arrange Airport Pickup for Students who have shared their flight details with the admission section.
- Students will report in the admission section along with all the required documents and interact with the reporting officer.
- The documents will be checked and verified by admission section staff. Students will fill the requisite forms and submit the required documents.
- It is mandatory for all International students except those from Nepal and Bhutan to get their Student Visa registered at FRRO/FRO office within 14 days of arrival in India. University will guide and assist students with all the required processes.
- Students joining the university after the prescribed time period may be denied admission.
- It is the prime responsibility of the student to visit the admission section in time to complete the required documents, so that no fine is levied against him/her.
Guidelines for Visa and FRO/FRRO
- Once an Admission Letter has been issued, students should immediately apply for Student Visa at Indian Embassy / High Commission.
- Make sure that your Student Visa is endorsed to Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi, India.
- Make sure that you have applied for a Visa well in advance and time. It generally takes 3-8 weeks to get the Indian Visa thus it is advisable to apply for the visa accordingly and consult the Indian High Commission/Embassy, if required.
- Change of University or Institution cannot be considered. In this case you would be required to go back to your home country and apply for a new visa.
- Make sure, if you have entered India on the basis of a Student Visa endorsed to Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi, India then it is your responsibility to ensure that you directly join and report to the University. The Visa endorsed on the name of the University or obtained on the basis of university documents cannot be used for any other purpose like employment, admission to any other university /college /institute /academy etc. or for non-regular (distance/online) mode of education.
After reaching the University Campus, students have to get the visa verified by the University officials and have to deposit a copy of the valid visa at the admission section. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that throughout his/her study period the student is on a valid visa.
Guidelines for Visa Extension and FRO/FRRO
- International Relations /Admission/MIS Section of Jharkhand Rai University will guide and assist students with all the required processes needed for FRO/FRRO Registration.
- All International students except those from Nepal and Bhutan have to fill online application for Registration Certificate (RC) & Residential Permit (RP) on arrival to India.
- In case the initial visa is not endorsed for the complete duration of the program or student has to extend the stay because he/she is not able to complete the program in the stipulated time then the student should apply for the extension of the visa before visa expires.
