
Dr. Ratneshwar Prasad Singh ‘Ratan’
Ratneshwar Prasad Singh ‘Ratan’ is a Professor and Dean in the Faculty of Agriculture at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. Dr. Ratan earned his Master’s in Agriculture Extension from BAC and Ph.D in Agriculture Extension from R.A.U. Pusa. The topic of his doctoral dissertation was, “Women’s Participation and Economic Contribution in Tribal Farming System in Jharkhand, India”. Apart from presenting research papers in seminars and conferences he has also published 214 research papers, 25 books and 32 manuals, monographs/reports, etc. He has handled 19 research, extension and development projects as Team Leader, Zonal Leader and Principal Investigator which led to the creation of some of the notable landmarks for fostering effective partnership between research, extension, farmer and market putting Farmer First concept in upscaling appropriate technologies, best practices and innovative ideas leading to development of innovative extension models for Jharkhand.Dr Ratan has also guided various Ph.D research scholars. Dr. Ratan has an experience of 42 years and during this span he has worked in different positions in Universities and Colleges. He has worked as Assoc. Professor & Head Deptt. Of Agricultural Extension, University Professor & Chairman, Deptt. Of Agricultural Extension, and Director Extension Education, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi.

Dr. Neeta Shweta Kerketta
Dr. NEETA SHWETA KERKETTA is a Assistant Professor in the faculty of Agriculture at Jharkhand Rai University. Dr. Neeta earned her master’s degree in Agroforestry from Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Science and Technology and Ph.D. in Forestry from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Science and Technology, Allahabad (U.P). The topic of her doctoral dissertation was “Application of growth regulators and potting media for the quality production of nursery stock in different Poplar clones”. Dr. Neeta has also authored various research papers that have been published in national and international journals. Dr. Neeta has a teaching experience of 9 years during which she worked at different positions in colleges and universities. She worked as teaching assistant, department of Silviculture and Agroforestry, SHIATS, Allahabad (U.P). She has also worked as HOD/Assistant Professor, Department of Forestry, Doon PG College of Agriculture Science and Technology, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Dr. Neeta has also guided various M.Sc. students (07).

Dr. Neha Grace Angel Kisku
Dr. Neha Grace Angel Kisku is an Assistant Professor in the department of Agriculture at Jharkhand Rai University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Horticulture (Floriculture and Landscaping) from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Allahabad, UP, and a Doctorate in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, HP. Her doctoral research focused on “Studies on staggered planting and jeevamrit application on flower and corm production of Gladiolus (Gladiolus hybrida).” She was awarded the National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students for 2021-22. Additionally, she cleared ASRB NET 2023 in Floriculture and Landscaping. Dr. Kisku has been involved in designing and contributing to landscape projects for the Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture at Dr. YSP University of Horticulture and Landscaping. She has authored four full-length research papers, including two as the primary author and two as a co-author, along with several articles and book chapters. She has actively participated in various training sessions, workshops, and national conferences.

Ms. Poonam Singh
Poonam Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Jharkhand Rai University. She has earned her Master of Agriculture from Birsa Agriculture University in Plant Breeding and Genetics. She has qualified ICAR – NET conducted by ASRB Delhi and earned a Master in Agribusiness Management from ICFAI University. She has around 7 years of work experience in Teaching, Research and Extension works. She has worked as a Lecturer at IIMT Pune, teaching subjects of Agriculture and Agribusiness Management. She has worked for 5 years in KRIBHCO INDO-BRITISH RAINFED FARMING PROJECT engaged in Training, Research and Extension works in Jharkhand Tribal region on various crops like Paddy, Maize, Legumes etc. In KRIBHCO She has also worked on Participatory plant breeding programme for variety identification and development of Paddy and Maize crops. Poonam Singh has authored several research papers published on national journals of repute. She has also conducted a no. of training programme and participated in Radio Talk show on various crop related topics.

Ms. Auindrila Biswas
Ms. Auindrila Biswas is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Agriculture at Jharkhand Rai University. She has completed her Master’s degree from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya and currently pursuing Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal. Her doctoral dissertation is entitled, “Comparative Economic Analysis of Food Security Issues between Nadia and Kalimpong districts of West Bengal, India with respect to COVID-19”. She was the batch topper in her Master’s Program and was also awarded the University Research Scholar (URS) in her P.hD program. Additionally, she has qualified ICAR NET 2021 conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) with 57.11% marks. Apart from presenting research work in various National and International seminars and conferences, she has received multiple awards for presenting the best paper/poster including Dr. R.T Doshi second prize in 2023. She has attended various trainings, workshops and faculty development programs and has published multiple research papers, popular articles and book chapters.

Ms. Khushboo Kumari
Khushboo Kumari is Faculty Associate in the Faculty of Agriculture at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. She has completed her graduation in Agriculture and master’s degree in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy from Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi. The title of her M.Sc thesis was, “Efficacy of foliar application of nutrients and growth promoter (NAA) on growth and yield of black gram”. She has authored research papers that have been published in national and international journals.
She has one year experience of teaching as an Assistant Professor in Agronomy in a University. She delivered lectures in different topics to the farmers in Kisan Goshti. Her areas of interest include organic Farming, integrated farming system.

Mr. Rahul Kumar
Mr. Rahul Kumar is a faculty associate in the department of Agricultural Science. He has completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture from Jaipur National University, Jaipur (RAJ). He completed his M.Sc. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from Naini Agriculture Institute, Shuats, Praygraj (U.P). The topic of his master’s degree dissertation was ‘RELATIONSHIP OF PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES WITH SULPHUR FRACTION IN SOILS OF SAMASTIPUR AND MUZAFFARPUR DISTRICT OF BIHAR’. Mr. Rahul has also authored two research papers that have been published in international Journals. He is an active member of Indian Society of Soil Science. He has participated in many national/ international seminars/webinars, and workshops. He is also awarded as ‘Best Poster Presentation’ in an international seminar. He is also a ‘Rajya Puraskar’ awardee from Bharat Scout and Guide.

Ms. Rojalin Hota
Ms. Rojalin Hota is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture at Jharkhand Rai University. She is a dedicated academician and researcher in the field of Agriculture, specializing in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. She graduated as a Gold Medalist with B.Sc. in Agriculture from Berhampur University, Odisha and completed her Master’s in Agriculture with a specialization in Soil Science from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences. Prayagraj, India. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D.(Ag) Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry at Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal, India. Ms. Rojalin Hota brings with her over 2 years of teaching experience and 5 years of research experience, which includes both her M.Sc. and Ph.D. work. Her research interests cover critical areas such as soil fertility, plant nutrition, micronutrients, and biofertilizers. Additionally, she has undergone several hands-on training programs and workshops organized by various state and central agricultural universities. She has also qualified for the UGC-NET in Environmental Science in 2023. She has contributed to numerous academic publications, including research articles, popular articles, conference papers, and book chapters. Furthermore, she has actively participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, enriching her expertise and expanding her professional network in the field of Agriculture.
