Dr. Khaleda Rehman

Khaleda Rehman is an Assistant Professor in the faculty of Legal Studies at Jharkhand Rai University. She has accomplished her Doctoral Programme on the topic” APPRAISAL OF INDIAN LABOUR LAWS AND ITS IMPACT ON INDUSTRIAL GROWTH DURING GLOBALIZATION”. She is having more than four years of academic experience along with years of corporate experience. She has worked as Faculty of Commerce in St. Xavier’s College and Asean Institute of Risk Management. She has more than twelve publication to her credit and has taken part in National and International conferences, workshops, seminars and Faculty development programs. Apart from academics she also has the expertise in legal field from her practicing experience as advocate in Delhi High Court and Supreme Court. She was associated with banks and corporate and had done advocated in various civil, financial and commercial disputes in court of law. She is seasoned professional and academician.


prashant jaiwardhan
Dr. Prashant Jaiwardhan

Dr. Prashant Jaiwardhan is presently working as a Assistant Professor in the faculty of Legal Studies at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. He is also handling Media coverage and Blog of the University. He has been awarded Ph.D from Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. He has earned three Masters Degrees in Journalism and Mass communication, Human Rights and Hindi Literature. He has worked in various reputed organization like Usha Martin Ltd. KGVK, All India Radio, Ranchi, KashishNews,Gossner College,Ranchi, Markham college of Commerce, Hazaribag and so on. He has attended various International and National seminars and presented his research papers from various research Journals. At present, he is the Group Editor of “UPUL” Research Journal (ISSN 2454-874X) from Ranchi. Apart from teaching he is actively associated with different Media Unions and Human Rights Associations.


Smita Pandey
Dr. Smita Pandey

Dr. Pandey is currently associated with Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi as Associate Professor (NET, PhD). She has completed 10 years in Academics with 6 years as Assistant Professor. She has done her PhD on “Effect of Acquisition of Generic drug producing companies on compulsory license” from Symbiosis International Deemed University. She was awarded Junior Research Fellowship by Symbiosis International University and was Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Pune. She has published chapters in books, articles in various national and international UGC Care Listed Journals (SCOPUS & WoS). She is also a member of the Editorial Review Board of “International Journal of Engineering Research & Management”. She was part of various projects related to Scheduled Tribes and environmental issues under the aegis of the university. She was also Evaluator and conductor of PhD Thesis viva at Sangam University, Bhilwara. She was co-editor of Chotanagpur Law Journal. She has taught Research Methodology, Cyber Laws, Information Technology Laws, Environmental Law and Laws related to Intellectual Property Rights, Contract Law, Insurance Law, Business Law at LL B and LL M level. She is a qualified Patent Agent and Trademark Agent. She has practiced as an Agent and IPR Attorney for two years in Law Firm at Patna.


Ms. Razia Syed
Ms. Razia Syed

Razia Syed is an Assistant professor in the Faculty of Legal Studies at Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. She is pursuing her PhD from Raffles University, Neemrana (Rajasthan) on the topic of “Collection of Evidence in Cyber Crime”. She has done her LLB from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and LLM from Maharaj Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, Rajasthan. She is having 4 years of teaching experience as Teaching Assistant (1 year in Baba Farid Law college, Faridkot, Punjab and 3 years in Chotanagpur Law College, Namkum, Ranchi). She has also 6 years’ experience of practice as an advocate at District court Faridkot, Punjab. She was also chosen as an advocate of District legal service Authority, Faridkot to provide Free Legal Aid Services. She was member of Free Legal Aid Cell and NSS Cell Chotanagpur Law college. She was also a Coordinator cum incharge of Moot Court Association in Chota Nagpur Law College, Ranchi. She has 4 publications as of now. She has also completed her two weeks Refresher course and 4-week Induction/ Orientation Programme. She has attended 11 Webinars and 3 Workshop so far.She has also attended International Virtual Mediation Summer School. She has taught Crpc, Insurance Law, Banking law and Interpretation of Statutes in Baba Farid Law College and Practical training, Intellectual Property Rights and Muslim Law in Chotanagpur Law College.



Mr. Kushagra Vikram

Kushagra Vikram is an Assistant Professor in the faculty of Legal Studies at Jharkhand Rai University. He has earned Master’s Degree in “Constitutional Law”, with First Division & Distinction from Amity University Lucknow Campus. The topic of his dissertation was “National Register of Citizens: A Study on Promises and Challenges”. Publication on “A change In Indian Politics from Ancient Era to Modern Era”, Law Smriti Indian Journal on Law Research (20th June 2020), Publication on “Is National Register of Citizens (NRC): Really a Blessing to Society”, Law Smriti Indian Journal on Law Research (16th July 2020), Presented a paper titled “Good Governance: A New Framework For Political Analysis” at International Seminar on Law, Justice, and Governance: Issues and Challenges, Organized by The Amity University, Lucknow Campus (Feb 2020), Presented a paper titled “Law in Cyberspace” at the National Conference of Law In Cyberspace, Organized by GD Goenka University, Gurugram (March 2017), Organized Honourable Shri Ram Jethmalani Webinar on the Occasion of his 91st Birthday at KLE Society’s Law College, Bangalore. Participated in “Certificate Course on Contract Law and Management” 3 Days program, Organized by KLE Society’s Law College, Bangalore, in association with NLSIU, Bangalore (April 2018) and attended various other seminars and workshops. He is also enrolled as an Advocate in Jharkhand State Bar Council.



Ms. Prerna Tiwary

Prerna Tiwary is an Assistant professor in the faculty of department of legal studies at Jharkhand Rai University. Prof. Prerna Tiwary earned her BBA LL.B (H) from SIKSHA ‘O’ ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY, Bhubaneswar. She earned LLM (Corporate and Commercial law) from CHRIST UNIVERSITY, Bengaluru with first class. During the academic of BBA LL.B (H) she earned internship experience in Odisha human rights commission Bhubaneswar, Civil court Ranchi, NALCO Bhubaneswar, Odisha High court, Poddar & associates corporate advocates & law consultants Ranchi and Jharkhand high court. She participated interstate moot court competition (2nd runner-up) and national level moot court competition. She presented paper entitled trafficking in women and children in India: judicial response, methods and strategy of prevention by UGC sponsored National Seminar. She also presented on preamble in National Seminar on constitutional values and presented paper entitled Hunger as a social problem in the international conference on 2030 agenda for sustainable development: issues and challenges. During LLM (CCL) she presented paper “controlling money laundering- problems and perspective” which was published in white black legal. She also presented dissertation on a legal introspection of corporate governance and administrative regulation, as study with special reference to Indian finance companies.



Ms. Ruchi Kumari

Miss Ruchi Kumari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal Studies at Jharkhand Rai University. She has a teaching experience of One year. She has done her BALLB Hons from Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University and LLM from Ranchi University. Her area of specialization is Business Organization and Contract. Her topic of dissertation was ‘Critical Analysis of Insider Trading laws in India ‘. She has attended and presented papers in various National Seminars. She has completed Faculty Induction Programme from Ramanujan College, Delhi with Grade A+.

Ruchi Sinha
Ms. Ruchi Sinha

Miss Ruchi Sinha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal Studies at Jharkhand Rai University. She has done her LL.B and LL.M from Chotanagpur Law College, Ranchi. Her area of specialization is Labour and Mercantile Laws. She was rewarded for exceptional performance in academics and is a recipient of seven gold medals during Bachelors and Masters of law collectively. Her topic of dissertation was “Expanding Rights of LGBT Community in India: A New Dimension of Section 377”. She has attended and presented papers in various National Seminars, Symposium and workshops. She has worked as a practicing lawyer independently and with law firms.
