The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive, individually focussed training that prepares the students in-depth knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability.

OUR COURSE CURRICULUM:
The undergraduate program, introduces students into several fundamental areas of knowledge and skill in the physical diagnosis technique. It is designed to inculcate a deep understanding for the subject and to groom a student into developing an attitude that is essential for the practice of physiotherapy and proper treatment. Besides theory, major emphasis is given to practical courses, clinical work, fieldwork, community visits and projects.
Coursework will skill the graduate about physical/functional diagnosis, treatment planning, management, administration of physiotherapy treatment along with prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of the patient. The programme is designed to train students to work both as an independent physiotherapist and as part of a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat disorders as per the standard healthcare guidelines.

Programme Objective & Syllabus:
On successful completion of the course our Graduates would:
- Have a broad, integrated knowledge of the application and methods of physiotherapy assessment techniques, diagnosis and therapeutic treatments. This includes the fundamentals of physiotherapy and related sciences with its practical application
- Have an understanding of the rationale & basic investigative approach to the medical system and surgical intervention regimens & accordingly plan & implement specific Physio-Therapy measures effectively
- Possess therapeutic skills using clinical reasoning, diagnostic methods and standardized assessment procedures
- To be able to identify, evaluate and select strategies for cure and care; adopt restorative & rehabilitative measures for maximum possible independence of a client at home, work place & in the community
- Have broad, integrated knowledge of planning and organisational skills, for evidence-based practice and goal-orientated physio-therapeutic interventions
- To maintain healthy relationship & Co-partnership with various professionals in the health delivery system in the primary interest of a client
- Have the ability to develop new and qualitative solutions and alternatives after evaluating information according to the demands of a given situation
- Be knowledgable of the theory and practice of appropriate practical application of therapeutic methods, concept and techniques based on academic research and evidence-based practice
- To develop communication skills for the purpose of transfer of suitable technique to be used creatively at various stages of treatment, compatible with psychological status of the beneficiary
- To promote health in general in Geriatrics, Women’s health, Industrial medicine as well as at competitive level, such as sports, keeping in mind National Health Policies.
- To practice professional autonomy & ethical principles with referral as well as first contact clients in conformity with ethical code for physiotherapists.
