Piyush Ranjan
Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Ranjan

Dr. Piyush Ranjan is working as a Professor & Registrar with Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. Dr. Ranjan holds double post-graduate degree in Management and Computer Application and also double graduate degree in Physics and Computer Application. He has over 17+ years of experience in corporate sector and academics. Apart from being an IT Consultant, he has also taught in various educational institutions in Delhi and other places. His area of expertise includes MIS, Operating System, Database Management System and Network Administration. His area of research includes Environmental Impact of Microprocessor Technology, Threat of dumping Obsolete Computers, Sustainable Development of Computer Technology etc. Prof. Ranjan has contributed and edited chapters in various books both for National & International publishers and also published few books like ‘Challenges to Higher Education’, ‘Online Learning’, ‘Changing Role of Teachers in Education’ and many more. He is also on the Board of ‘Advisory Editorial Member’ of various National & International Journals and has conducted many workshops and FDP in institutes across India. He has also presented various papers in National & International Conferences organized by FMS Delhi, IIT Roorkee, ISB Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, IMT Ghaziabad, NIRMA University etc. He is also a recipient of various awards and achievements including “special acknowledgement Certificates” for the contribution in different Management Development Programs from All India Management Association (AIMA) for four consecutive years (2007- 2010). He has also been awarded as an “Innovative Academic Leader” in year 2017 for his outstanding and exemplary contribution to education and skill by Global Education and Skill Summit.



Dr. Ashish Kumar Sinha

Ashish Kumar Sinha is an Associate Professor in the faculty of CS & IT at Jharkhand Rai University. Dr. Ashish completed MCA from Gaya College, Gaya (Bihar) and Ph.D from Magadh University, BodhGaya (Bihar). The topic of his doctoral dissertation was “Role of Information Technology in Banking Sector”. He has also authored various research papers that have published in national journals. Dr. Ashish has 10 years of teaching experience in different colleges of Magadh University, BodhGaya. His areas of interest are – Java programming, Python and Database.


Priyanka Srivastava
Dr. Priyanka Srivastava

Dr. Priyanka Srivastava is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science & IT. She completed her Ph.D. from BIT, Mesra in the area of Digital Image Processing. The topic of her doctoral dissertation is “Investigation of NEAR System in terms of Image Resemblance”. She did her Master in Information Technology from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. Apart from teaching she is presently associated with Examination Department as ‘Assistant Registrar (Examinations)’ and also handling the work of SWAYAM as ‘University SWAYAM Coordinator. She is also associated with “Spoken Tutorial Project” by IIT Bombay. She is having teaching experience in reputed organizations like Birla Institute of Technology (Lalpur), Metas Adventist College, Usha Martin Academy, Dr. Zakir Husain Institute. She has great interest in Research and Publications with few publications in reputed Journals indexed with SCI, SCOPUS , International Conference Proceedings and and many more. She has been awarded with “BEST PAPER AWARD” twice while presenting her research article.



Anuradha Sharma

Anuradha Sharma presently working as a Faculty Assistant in Jharkhand Rai University. She holds a Master degree in Information Technology from BIT Mesra and a B.Tech degree from B.P.U.T (Biju Pathnayak University of Technology). Her topic for research while M.Tech was “Prediction of Iron ore using Soft Computing Technique” which involved Artificial Neural Network using Back propagation method. Her interest include RDBMS, C, C++. She is an avid reader and holds interest in current affairs topic.



Rajan Kumar Tiwari

Rajan Kumar Tiwari is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science & IT at Jharkhand Rai University. Tiwari earned his Masters in Computer Application from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He is associated with Jharkhand Rai University since August 2016. He has a rich experience of 15 years in teaching profession in the area of CS & IT. During this time span, he served different teaching institutions. In his current profile, he is also associated with the University Examination Department and the bi-annual newsletter of the University in the role of Editor. In addition to teaching-learning, he has a keen interest in co-curricular activities for the all-round development of the students. Prof. Tiwari was also associated with print media as a sub-editor in a reputed hindi daily for eight years.



Prakash Anand

Prakash Anand is a Lecturer in the faculty of Computer Science & IT department at Jharkhand Rai University. Prakash Anand earned his Bachelor of engineering from R.P. Sharma Institute of Technology, Bailey Road, Patna and M. Tech in Computer Science from B.I.T Mesra. The topic of his research work during M. Tech was “Software quality assurance, Analysis and Implementation to achieve high quality software product”. Apart from the qualification he has presented a paper in international conference, the paper titled “Survey on security issues in network layer active attacks on Ad hoc wireless networks”. Prakash Anand has 8+ years of teaching experience. His area of interest includes Rational Rose UML, OOAD, C, C++, Networking, Computer Organization, and Microprocessor.



Kumar Amrendra

Kumar Amrendra is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology at Jharkhand Rai University. He is currently pursuing Ph.D from Jharkhand Rai University. His major area of research is computer Networking and Issues in Ad-hoc Networks. He holds a Master Degree in Computer Application (MCA) from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. He has done his Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. He has done his project on Student Service System, BIT Mesra, Ranchi. He was also awarded with G.P. Birla Scholarship for academic excellence during his masters. Prof. Amrendra has more than 2 years of teaching experience in different educational sector. His area of interest includes Computer Networking, Database Management System, Computer Graphics, C, C++, and Data Mining. Prof. Amrendra is the Convener of Institution Innovation Council (IIC) – Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the University. Apart from teaching he has a keen interest in Sports Activities and he is also associated with the Sports Club of JRU.



Wakil Kumar

Wakil Kumar is presently working as Assistant Professor in the faculty of Computer Science & IT. He earned his M.Sc.in Mathematics from Science College; Patna University and M.Phil in mathematics from Ranchi University. Special Paper in M.Sc. was Operation Research and special paper in M.Phil is Generalized Integral Transform. His teaching experience is more than five years in different Engineering College including R.G.I.T Koderma, G.G.S.E.S.T.C Bokaro. His area of interest is Laplace Transform, Fourier, Z-Transform, Differential Equation and Complex Analysis. He attended Short term Training Programme on “Effective Teaching” sponsored by TEQIP-II, MHRD & conducted by CET, IIT Kharagpur.



Kriti Verma

Kriti Verma is a lecturer at Jharkhand Rai University. She earned her master’s in Mathematics from Ranchi University and pursuing her M.Phil from Ranchi University. The topic of dissertation in masters is “green’s function and its application”. Beyond this she has a rich experience of 5 years teaching in educational sector. Her areas of interest are – Mathematical Modelling, Linear Algebra, Differential Equation and Operation Research.



Dr. Anita Singh

Anita Singh is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science & IT at Jharkhand Rai University. She has completed her Ph.D & the topic for her Doctoral dissertation was “Struggling women-writings in Nigeria with special reference to the novels of Buchi Emecheta”. She has more than ten years of teaching experience in the English language and communication at BITEC Lalpur and R.W.C. Ranchi. Dr. Singh has attended couple of seminars as well as published research papers in various journals.
