Students who choose to study at Jharkhand Rai University (JRU) would be investing in an education that will help them build a successful career and life for themselves. We at JRU believe in innovative teaching and research that helps in equipping our students with desired skills, ingenious insights and imaginative abilities in order to make them employable and well-equipped.

Placement is just one of the meeting points between JRU and industry, and we strongly believe that a far stronger win-win relationship should be built between the two. Today employers seek people with range of skills and attributes who can survive in a competitive work environment. Keeping this in mind we train our students through focusing on Life Skills, Personality Development and Attitude Building which helps them to develop skills and grow in confidence. There are several activities where Industry-Academia can work together at different points in time, with benefits accruing to both.

Jharkhand Rai University takes the following Initiatives: Summer Internships: At the end of the first year of all the programmes, most of the students are supposed to take up a two-month internship assignment (summer training) with an organization. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the completion of the programme, and is designed to provide exposure to the working of organizations, as well as a chance to apply the learning at JRU in solving real-world problems.

Live Projects: In addition to the Summer Internship program, several organisations such as Central Coalfield Ltd., HEC, Pantaloons, HDFC Bank Ltd, ICICI Group, SAIL, Ashoka Hotels, Greenfeild, Usha Martin, Prabhat Khabar, Adhunik, TATA Steel, Canara Bank, Arsh Residency, Apollo Hospitals, Ashika Builders, Narnolia Securities, etc. to name a few have tapped the JRU’s talent pool for solving specific problems. Unlike the Summer Internship, these “live projects” can be taken up by students at any point in time. Once again the benefit to both the organisation, as well as to student is obvious.

We make sure that regular events including Mock Interviews session, Skill-based Sessions, Group Discussions, Seminars and Conferences are frequently organized for the students in order to make them adept and proficient. Our Career Guidance Cell does not guarantee placement but its aim is to mentor and nurture students and help them in becoming employable and resourceful.
